IMC tools
On this post I will talk about the IMC tools applied on the Netflix campaign, but to begin, what are the IMC tools? IMC means Integrated Marketing Communications tools, it refer to integrating various marketing tools such as advertising, online marketing, public relation activities, direct marketing, sales campaigns to promote brands. So based on that and after a bit of research, I realised that their campaign is most and strongest on internet ( online marketing), which is not a surprise nowadays as almost everything is based on internet, as well as advertisements around the city, but as I said on previously posts, their advertisements are based on their differentials, so the campaign that I am presenting on the blog are normally a message on the bottom of billboards, or on the website, on the other hand in this kind of campaign there is no public relation activities involved as they did with the snapchat campaign in France mentioned in a post before. This campaign we can see that is a way of sales promotion as well, sales promotion is basically discount coupons, loyalty clubs and etc, and the first month free is a sort of discount, a type of sales promotion, also Direct marketing which enables the organisation to communicate directly with the end-users, by emails, text messages and so on, which is often done by Netflix once you allow them to. Because it is a stream media there is no necessity of Personal Selling.
Personal selling takes place when marketer or sales representative sells products or services to clients, mostly face-to-face.
So what e can see is that the strongest IMC tool on this campaign is the on line marketing, of course could not be more obvious, for an online product an online marketing.
