Netflix campaign and marketing strategy

You probably recognised this symbol, right? we have all heard of Netflix by now, it is probably the most famous streaming media today, and is thinking on how Netflix became so famous that I decided to make an analysis of their campaign and marketing strategy.
Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph and started to operate with 30 employees, renting dvd by mail, and today they have more than 90 million subscribers around the world.
A Netflix campaign and strategy of marketing that I believe it's been very successful, is to give a first month trial for free, in other words they give the first month to new subscribers for free, so people feel attracted to try their services, and once you start to watch the hundreds of films and series they have, such as the Netflix originals (series and films created by them) or many others rewarded films, is hard to stop just on the first month. Even though it's not a new idea, also used by other kind of business, I believe that is still very successful, in my opinion a sort of a trap where you subscribe, and in the process you have to put your credit card details, in case the subscriber decides to cancel they have to call or cancel online.
Netflix uses billboards in train stations and on the streets as well as online marketing, trough Facebook, Instagram, twitter, youtube. But they realised now that instead of make their marketing with well known films and series, they now uses their originals, as Netflix originals have been well rewarded and can be found only in their website. However the one month free is a good way to communicate with the people and give lets say "trust" on what they have to offer.
